A Nation in Mourning
On August 6, 2025, Ghana suffered a heartbreaking tragedy when a military helicopter crashed in the Adansi-Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region. The accident claimed the lives of all eight individuals on board—leaders, patriots, and service members who devoted their lives to the progress and security of the nation.
We honor the memory of the following individuals who tragically lost their lives:

Hon. Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah – Minister for Defence

Hon. Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed – Minister for Environment, Science, Technology & Innovation

Alhaji Muniru Mohammed – Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator

Dr. Samuel Sarpong – Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress

Mr. Samuel Aboagye – Former Parliamentary Candidate

Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala – Pilot

Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah – Aircrew Member

Flying Officer Manin TwumAmpadu – Copilot
Each of these individuals was not just a title or rank—but a son, brother, husband, father, colleague, and friend. Their contributions to national development and peacekeeping will forever be remembered.
